Swain County, Haywood County and
Jackson County, North Carolina Real Estate
As your Buyer’s Agent, I can help you find and
purchase real estate anywhere in Western North Carolina. Yet my primary
territory is the three-county area bordering the Great Smoky Mountains
National Park. Swain County,
Jackson County and Haywood County offer some of the most ruggedly
beautiful real estate in the Southern Appalachians.

Swain County Real Estate — More than 80 percent
of Swain County is federally-owned land. Protected by the Great Smoky
Mountains National Park, Nantahala National Forest, Fontana Lake and Cherokee
Indian Reservation, Swain remains one of the most unspoiled areas of the
state. And a relative late-comer to the region’s residential real
estate market.
Bryson City and Cherokee are the two most well-known towns in Swain
County. But smaller communities, like Whittier, Almond and Alarka, are
getting increased attention from real estate buyers.
Jackson County Real Estate — Jackson County is
nestled among the Blue Ridge mountains on the southern border of the
Great Smoky Mountains National Park, The Blue Ridge Parkway reaches its
highest and most remote spots along Jackson County's eastern edge; and
the town of Cashiers, to the south, is a premiere golf and resort destination.
Communities like Balsam, Glenville and Tuckasegee have seen a growth
in planned residential communities; while Sylva, Dillsboro and Cullowhee
continue to attract people looking for a vibrant small-town atmosphere.
Haywood County Real Estate — In neighboring Haywood
County, the town of Waynesville has grown to become one of the largest
small towns in Western North Carolina; and one of Asheville’s strongest
bedroom communities, with just a 15-minute commute. And Maggie Valley
has long been one of the Smokies’ major travel destinations.
With the Blue Ridge Parkway bordering the southern end of the county and
the Great Smokies and Pisgah National Forest in the north;
and 18 peaks over 6000 feet in elevation, including Cold Mountain, Haywood
County offers some of the most spectacular scenery in Western North Carolina.
